After the BAUExpo could not take place in the last two years due to the corona pandemic, Lord Mayor Frank-Tilo Becher welcomed visitors on Friday with the words "Welcome back BAUExpo". Over 10,000 construction enthusiasts streamed through the Hessenhallen and took the opportunity to get comprehensive advice and inspiration for their planned home and garden project. The halls were full and the aisles were packed with visitors. The approximately 220 exhibitors at BAUExpo reported with satisfaction on the many good discussions they had during the three days of the fair. BAUExpo has thus once again proven its position as the largest construction trade fair in Hesse.

The range of exhibits at BAUExpo covers the topics of building and living, trade, building materials, renovation and new construction, gardening and landscaping. The integrated ENERGY trade fair focuses on the use of renewable energies and cost- and energy-efficient construction. Interest in this area was particularly high. Visitors took the opportunity to find out about alternative heating methods. Numerous innovative solutions were presented to reduce energy costs. Many companies offered a wide range of products and services for this purpose.

Michael Baccichet from WALZ Gebäudetechnik reported high demand for photovoltaic systems. "Energy is the big topic: generating, storing and using electricity sustainably". He also reports that his potential customers are very willing to invest.

The program was rounded off by the other focal points of smart homes, security in houses and apartments and accessibility. BAUExpo thus shows that it is "close to the pulse of the times and has its eye on the topics of the future", wrote the Lord Mayor in his welcoming address.

In addition to information stands, visitors were also able to enjoy a wide range of specialist presentations and a comprehensive culinary offering.

The date for the next BauExpo has already been set: next year, Hessen's largest construction trade fair will take place from March 8 to 10.
